Welcome to the Canadian Go Open
The Canadian Go Open is the largest and highest-level Go competition in Canada. Each year since 1978, from coast to coast, this event has been hosted in different cities across Canada. This year, in 2023, we welcome you to join us in celebrating its 46th anniversary in Richmond, British Columbia.
With over 130 Go players from different provinces and countries, as well as representing all age groups, this year marks the largest Canadian Go Open that has ever been held in history.

Pair Go Tournament
“At this tournament, points are awarded based on the pair’s place, and also for participation. Since the International Pair Go competition is aiming to encourage participation more than competition every pair may have the chance to represent Canada over time through accumulation of participation points.”
